Join Us on Our New Journey on the Open Road
Open Road is heading down a new road. Yes, we’re packing up our posts and hitting the highway.
But don’t worry. We won’t leave you stranded. We’ve got a new destination, and we hope you’ll join us at www.toyotanewsroom.com
When we launched our blog two years ago, we wanted to provide a forum where we could chat about our products and programs. In January, we introduced the Toyota USA Newsroom, a Web site that addresses some of the same topics.
This online pressroom serves traditional media, like newspaper reporters and magazine writers, as well as social media, like bloggers. We also invite anyone else who’s interested in Toyota to join in the conversation.
The newsroom has a wealth of information. Not only can you read about our new products, you can also see photos and videos. You can get our latest news releases. You can learn about everything from manufacturing to motorsports.
And we’ve recently added a new feature to our newsroom called "Our Point of View." Like we’ve sometimes done with Open Road, we’ll use that space to provide our point of view on issues facing Toyota and the auto industry. We don’t plan a daily rant. Instead, we’ll post our opinion – or set the record straight – whenever we feel it’s warranted. And we’ll invite you to share your comments, too.
By consolidating our communications into a single channel, we can offer both news and nuance in the same venue, making it more convenient for you.
Oh, and one more thing. In the spirit of social media and Web 2.0, you can still subscribe to our content to ensure you are always getting timely information.
So please join us at www.toyotanewsroom.com. And follow us on Twitter* at www.twitter.com/toyotanewsroom.
